Описание: South Point Beach access camping area at Gunn Point is the best free camp near Darwin.
This place is the reason why we live this lifestyle, absolutely beautiful spot, shady trees, stunning sunsets and beautiful walks along the beach.
Weather is perfect around August, it can get a bit wild with hoons driving up and down the beach especially on weekends, but plenty of room to spread yourselves out.
We drove onto the beach with our caravan no worries but you need to be aware of the tides.
Fires are usually burning in the area its best to stay clear of the high grass, a man lost his caravan in a fire a week before we arrived.
We went out for a tourist drive for an hour and came back to see our caravan had been moved onto the beach due to a fire being close to our van, we were very grateful to Snooks Hooks and Nooks for moving our van to safely.
We decided to move along the beach and join Snooks, Hooks and Nooks, had a fantastic seafood night on the fire with a beautiful sunset.
We absolutely loved Gunn Point we will definitely be back.
