Volcom Modulator 5/4/3 mm Hooded Chest Zip Wetsuit Review

Описание: In this episode, I’m going to review the new Volcom Modulator 5/4/3 hooded chest zip wetsuit. This is one of the best wetsuits I’ve ever had and it’s worth every penny.

The Volcom modulator is very stretchy and it's made from the highest grade limestone based neoprene. It's very light (3.6 Lb/1.6 Kg).
I literally don’t feel that I’m wearing a 5/4 wetsuit and it provides an incredible full range of motions.
A quick-dry thermal liner is decently soft with a nice feel and the blind stitched seams feel really strong.

I’ve put around 20 sessions into this wetsuit and it still looks new, no tears on cuffs or seams from top to the bottom which is incredible. I usually pee into this wetsuit every session and the funny fact, it doesn’t absorb it as much as my Xcel Drylock. So, if you pee into your wetsuit, then you are definitely gonna have a bit less weight while surfing.

I was really comfortable before the water temperature dropped below 40 degrees. After that my butt started to feel cold. So I wear two pairs of Xcel undershorts to feel warmer.
Since this wetsuit doesn’t have thick panels in the back, I avoid wearing it when the wind is howling over 15 mph offshore with the windchill below 20 degrees. So, for polar vortex days, I prefer to wear my Xcel Drylock which does an amazing job keeping me warm no matter how cold it is.

The wetsuit is true to size based on the chart from the Volcom website.
My Height: 5’9” or 175.3 cm
Weight: 155 lbs. or 70.3 kg

The Medium Short size fits me perfect.

I think this is a great wetsuit that can easily last for two seasons and cover different types of weather conditions. It has an amazing flexibility for performance and it comes with high quality and lightweight.
