Recent SPS alumni share their thoughts on researching, applying for, and attending a highly selective college.
Many people only consider Ivy League schools as highly selective, but any college that accepts fewer than 33 percent of applicants is often referred to as a highly selective school (about 130, nationwide).
While there are often added admission requirements and steps to complete, students shouldn't let that dissuade them from applying. Highly selective schools look at more than a GPA and test scores, and most provide significant financial aid support.
This video was created for our first ever Distinguished Scholars Night, which aimed to support high school students and families who want to know more about how to navigate the selective college process.
