We hiked up to the beautiful Pulpit rock/Preikestolen where we spent the night in a tent with an amazing view over the Lyseford.
The hike:
We started at the Pulpitrock BaseCamp and it took about 1.5 hours to get to the rock. It lies 604 meters above sea level, but we started at just under 300 meters.
How to get there:
You can take a bus from Stavanger and it takes about 1 hour. We drove from Stavanger, then it takes about 40 min.
Over Night Tenting
If you are staying in a tent, be sure to bring warm clothes and read the advice on the Pulpit rock homepage. Bring enough food, and a water bottle. You can refill the water bottle all the way up from the streams along the trail.
