As drones, self-driving vehicles and autonomous systems become part of everyday life, one challenge remains: how do we trust what machines say they have done?

This documentary follows the development of Blockchain-on-Chip, a breakthrough technology that allows machines to record their actions directly onto a secure, tamper-resistant digital ledger.

Working with the ‪@unisouthampton‬, and supported by ‪@arm‬ and ‪@Siemens‬, engineers successfully demonstrated the world’s first blockchain black box on a drone in flight, recording flight data that can be independently verified and cannot be altered or deleted.

The project has now reached Technology Readiness Level 6 (TRL 6), proving the system in a real-world environment.
