When the police arrived at the scene, his wallet and other valuables were still on him, causing them to rule robbery out almost immediately. As the investigation went on for several days and no witnesses came forward with information, a tip gave the investigators the information they needed to unravel who committed such a heinous crime, murdering Mr. Hassell III in cold blood.
