The Mercedes-Benz lineup has undergone a change.
The C-Class and E-Class coupe has been replaced by the new CLE.
In the market, the four-seater "two-door" will have to compete with the Audi A5 and BMW 4 Series.
The new Mercedes-Benz CLE is built on the MRA platform, and it is one of the latest "fuel" models of the brand. Some of the components came from the fifth-generation C-Class and the recently introduced sixth-generation E-Class.
The new CLE is available in a coupe body with a classic sporty silhouette.
The cars have a long hood, a steeply sloping windshield and a short rear body.
The overall length of the "two-door" is 4850 mm, which made it possible to place two rows of seats in the cabin. Front with built-in headrests, heating and four-way lumbar support.
The standard equipment includes a 12.3-inch instrument panel and a central display with a diagonal of 11.9 inches. The volume of the luggage compartment is 420 liters.
At the start of sales, the new Mercedes-Benz CLE will be offered in four versions with rear and all-wheel drive.
The basic rear-wheel drive CLE 200d off the assembly line is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged "diesel" with a capacity of 194 hp.

As an alternative, a 201 hp gasoline engine is proposed. At the top of the line is the all-wheel drive CLE 450 4Matic with a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 producing 375 hp.
All engines work according to the "mild hybrid" scheme: an electric motor is built into the gearbox, which produces an additional 23 hp during acceleration. The units work in a pair with a 7-range "automatic" with a torque converter.
