Starting Line Transition Program - A Complete Transition Curriculum

Описание: Imagine having a complete Transition program that guides students to identify and reach their own, meaningful postsecondary goals.

That's right - a complete Transition curriculum that actively involves students in their Transition plan by exploring their wants, interests, strengths, and needs related to employment, education/training, and independent living.

TenSigma, a non-profit education company located in St. Cloud, MN, developed the Starting Line Transition program to transform the Transition process. Our goal is help students and young adults with mild disabilities (who are likely to live independently) to identify and reach their own postsecondary goals.

As part of this comprehensive Transition program, students are guided to complete Transition assessments, activities, and tasks related to help them identify and write their own postsecondary goals. In addition, students will also create a checklist of important Transition tasks along with a timeline for completing them.

In the final phase of this Transition program, students will complete activities and tasks (included in the packets) to help them learn the necessary skills to accomplish their postsecondary goals.
