'SBH Racing - The Inside Story' Greenpower Racing Documentary

Описание: The students of South Bromsgrove High have, for the past three years, been taking part in the Greenpower Formula 24 Racing Series, an initiative designed to inspire a new generation of engineers through the design, build and racing of their very own electric vehicle. Over 500 teams take part from across the globe, competing at regional heats to secure a place at the international finals, which has in the past been held at prestigious circuits such as the Goodwood and Rockingham Motor Speedways.

The team from South Bromsgrove High has encountered a number of challenges over the years, including technical difficulties and sourcing funding for the project, however the students have continued to develop the car and have attended several races throughout the school’s tenure within the programme. ‘SBH Racing – The Inside Story’ examines how involvement in the project benefits students, and helps them to develop their own personal skills and employability. We speak to sponsors of the team, Councillor Anthony Blagg from Worcestershire County Council and Jason Oakley from Ultimate Sports Nutrition.

Mr Topping, Head Teacher of South Bromsgrove High joins the Physics Departments Mr Lawrance and Mr Clark in sharing their experiences of running the team and how they have seen the students learn from the project. Students Andrew Hind and Joseph Powell also share their insights on the project.
