The hand begins with a closed fist, then the fingers are opened (in this sequence: pinky, ring, middle, and index fingers), so that the nails make three or four quick strokes on the strings; the palm is lowered to achieve a dampening effect.

Another dominant motif is the A chord:

fingers------ 0211 (mini barre).
[Bars 28-29] Another important passage is
the change of fingers 2, 1 (1st string, 2nd fret, note F#)
and [Bars 30-31] the change of fingers 2, 3
(2nd string, 3rd fret, note D).
[Bars 30-31] Slide between strings 2 and 1.
Finger 2 moves back one fret and lowers onto the note F#.
