After a January of mostly rain and a day and a half of very heavy rain, February started with a sparkling day. The opportunity to get trackside came along and I headed to the River Road grade crossing of Canadian Pacific's Cascade Sub, Mile 101.4, in Maple Ridge, BC. A signal maintainer was on hand, finishing the repair to a failed crossing protection, and a track gang was on hand doing track maintenance. I should mention that the heavy rain had caused serious washouts further east and little traffic was expected, but it was such a nice day.

This Train is V89 Sorry for any confusion and thanks to those who provided the correct information.
Whatever, it's an interesting mix of cars moving by quite slowly for the track gang. BTW, I've sped up the first 7 minutes as the train approached verrrry slowly. CP5019 and CP5011, a pair of rebuilt SD40's, are upfront. These units were rebuilt by Progress Rail/EMD as SD30C-ECO in 2012-2013.

N.B.The photographer and cameras did not encroach on the railway right-of-way in taking this video. It is dangerous, foolhardy (and illegal) to enter on railway rights-of-way. Just sayin' ... "You don't stand on a runway to watch airplanes."
