Описание: It teaches the basics of Theory of Structures in Structural Engineering for better grades in class. Besides higher grades it will also be useful for competitive examinations like GATE. It will also be good for practicing Engineers for better grasp of the subject, Theory of Structures. This is the first of a series of videos that will be made on Theory of Structures. Dr. Sarma had his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Jorhat Engineering College in Assam, India. He got Master of Engineering degree in Structural Engineering from IIT, Roorkee, and PhD in Structural Engineering with Minor Computer Science, from the Ohio State University in USA. He is a Senior Structural Engineer in USA for more than 20 years, designing Bridges, Retaining Walls, Deep Foundations, and some vertical structures. Before that he was a Lecturer and an Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering in Assam Engineering College in Guwahati, India for 13 years, teaching Structural Engineering Subjects. He was admired by his students as a very effective teacher making tough things easier. His desire is to share his knowledge of Structural Engineering to succeeding generations. Dr. Sarma is the first author of 10 research papers published in different renowned international journals. He coauthored a book "Cost Optimization of Structures: Fuzzy Logic, Genetic Algorithms, and Parallel Computing" and was published by John Wiley & Sons in 2006.
