Buckingham Palace is the best known place in London and probably the world to see the Changing of Guards. What was particularly interesting about the day was the fact the Old & New Guards as well as the Musical Support all belong to the same regiments. I don’t know how often that happens! One expects one regiment takes over from another but that is obviously not always the case.
In the UK, this ancient ceremony dates back to the late 15th century and the reign of Henry VII, father to the notorious Henry VIII. Watch with me as the Old and New Guards change at the world’s most famous Palace.
