Mud Play with Jillian

Описание: Join summer staff member Jillian for some creative outdoor learning. This week, Jillian demonstrates some engaging activities that incorporate mud play!

Mud play allows children to work on developing their problem solving and social skills, as well as their fine and gross motor skills. Throughout the activities, we will look at the different health and developmental benefits of letting your child play in the dirt, and some simple ways to facilitate this in your own outdoor space.

Mud play not only is shown to increase children’s immune systems and serotonin levels, but will also help them to develop an appreciation for their outdoor environment. Whether it is painting with mud, creating recipes and menu-planning in a mud-kitchen, or simply diving right in, these activities will be sure to help get your child outside and having fun in a wonderfully messy way.
