The Triumph Speed 400 is powered by 398.15cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 39.5 bhp and a torque of 37.5 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, Triumph Speed 400 comes up with anti-locking braking system. This Speed 400 bike weighs 176 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 13 liters.

The Triumph Speed 400 is a modern retro motorcycle. It features a timeless roadster design and a good number of features for the price.



The Speed 400 gets a set of new colours. These are Racing Yellow, Pearl Metallic White, Phantom Black, and Racing Red. The colours are quite striking to look at. They also contrast well with the blacked-out engine and exhaust pipe. As for the styling, the round headlight, teardrop-shaped fuel tank and slim tail section are as per the modern-retro design handbook. Triumph has made changes to the seat by adding more foam for better comfort. The seat height, however, has gone up to 803mm. There are adjustable levers as well.



The bike’s frame is suspended by a USD fork and a monoshock. It rides on 17-inch wheels shod with new, higher-profile, Vredestein tyres.



Powering the bike is a 399cc, liquid-cooled motor that pumps out 39.5bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 37.5Nm at 6,500rpm. The single-cylinder engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and benefits from a torque-assist clutch.



In terms of competition, the bike goes up against the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450.
