The hoofbag has been into amateur electronics since childhood, building an ECL80 amplifier at the age of 12. In the 1960s it was common for amateurs to build circuits on a wooden breadboard, stick drawing pins into it at positions directed by a print outs from a Gestetner machine. The print quality wasn't wonderful but it worked. One previous upload was a glissade made from chopped off bits of plain PCB board, cut and glued onto a baseboard to make solder pads. Most people won't have access to a Proxxon or Minicraft table saw, so the drawing pins on wood system is suggested here. The project is a 1 watt transistor amplifier and has about the same output as a budget amplified speaker system as used with a computer. This item can form the basis of a battery instrument amplifier that will be loud enough for busking or similar. The design will be uploaded onto my Web:
www.hoofbags.me.uk If you desire, go to Web address as above, navigate to geekiestuff and there will be a link. Click on it, it will open up a printable page. Load it into word or similar and print out the A4 page. Stick this page onto a lump of wood ad stick the tacks in. Follow the instructions given in this movie. (o:
