I must admit I have been listening to the wrong people or perhaps I was prejudiced - when I drove this Subaru WRX (auto) for the first time I had to double-check the brochure to confirm that it was actually running a CVT - and if I have to choose a CVT, this would be the one I would choose.
Even in stock form, it is potent, and would make a great combo car for work during the week and double up as a weekend sporty and fun car.
And if you won't face any resistance from your other half (home minister) because this is a bona fide 4 door sedan, with a boot, and is an auto that she can drive to market too.
