Dr. Sindy Chapa
Assistant Professor, School of Journalism and Mass Communication
Texas State University-San Marcos
Dr. Sindy Chapa has a Ph.D. in International Business and a Master in Business Administration -with a concentration in Marketing. She has taught marketing courses for 10 years in the United States, Mexico and Chile. Her research focuses on the effect of advertising strategies on Latino consumers. In 2008, Dr. Chapa joined Texas State University with the purpose of creating the Center for the Study of Latino Media and Markets. Since then, Dr. Chapa, an Assistant Professor, is the current Associate Director of the Center at the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Texas State University-San Marcos.
