🌿 Oats Veg Tikki Recipe
🥔 Ingredients
3 medium size boiled & mashed potatoes
½ cup finely chopped colored bell peppers
¼ cup grated carrot
1 medium size finely chopped onion
2–3 finely chopped green chillies
1 tsp grated ginger
2 finely chopped garlic cloves
2 tbsp finely chopped fresh coriander
Spices:
2 tsp roasted & coarsely crushed coriander seeds
1 tsp roasted & coarsely crushed cumin seeds
¼ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp red chilli powder (as per taste)
½ tsp garam masala / kitchen king masala
Salt to taste
Other:
¼ cup oats powder (dry roast oats & grind coarse)
Juice of ½ lemon
Oil or butter for shallow frying
White sesame seeds for coating
🍳 Method
In a bowl, take mashed boiled potatoes.
Add bell peppers, carrot, onion, green chillies, ginger, garlic and coriander.
Add roasted crushed coriander seeds, cumin seeds, turmeric, chilli powder, garam masala and salt.
Add oats powder and squeeze fresh lemon juice.
Mix everything well to form a soft dough-like mixture.
Grease your palms with little oil and make small round tikkis.
Coat each tikki with white sesame seeds.
Shallow fry on medium flame with little oil or butter till golden and crisp from both sides.
Serve hot with green chutney and chai ☕💚
