Have you stayed at a SOVIET-ERA HOTEL? Recently I visited Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and I was amazed by its mosques, Madrasahs, metro stations, street food, authentic Uzbek Plov (pronounced as “Plof”), and friendly locals🙂 I’ll tell you guys more about it soon. In this video, I’m gonna be showing you HOTEL UZBEKISTAN where I spent two nights. It used to be a LUXURY SOVIET HOTEL in Uzbekistan.
Hotel Uzbekistan is located right in the heart of Tashkent next to Amir Temur Metro Station. The hotel is in close proximity to most Tashkent tourist attractions and historic places like Amir Temur Square, Mustaqillik Maydoni (Independence Square), the State Museum of History of Uzbekistan, and many more.
Hotel Uzbekistan was built in 1974 and was a leading luxury hotel during the Soviet era. International guests would stay here. I can’t say I’m a big fan of Brutalist Soviet architecture but this example impressed me a lot. Maybe it’s because of the Uzbek National pattern. Let me know if you like it (or not)🙂
Thanks for watching. Maraming salamat po!
