Introduction to centroids (statics)

Описание: This engineering statics tutorial introduces the concept of centroids. A centroid is the centre of area of a geometric shape. Centroid calculations will be very important in calculating the resultant of distributed loads (basically the equivalent point load of a distributed load that would cause the same moment about a point). Centroids are also used to calculate the centre of mass of objects.
