In 1942 the British planned a daring airborne operation to learn the details of a new German radar system at a site north of Le Havre in Normandy. Lead by Major John Frost, a company of paratroopers dropped by parachute into Bruneval. They were to quickly neutralise the German garrison, dismantle the German radar, take the pieces they needed away and then evacuate back to England. With footage taken on-site this week Niall will walk us through the action.
