Problems with EVINRUDE E-TEC G2 300 hp HO 2 stroke motor REVIEW UPDATE

Описание: After having some issues with my 300 hp G2 I complained to BRP because a week vacation at the coast was essentially ruined. A beach house with a dock is pretty useless if the boat you brought to go offshore fishing couldn't even get out of its own way. Blue15047 posted a video showing the issues we were having, and of course that opened a can of worms. Many of the comments were people being ignorant and claiming that the problems were caused by how the boat was rigged. While it was initially an issue with the main ground wire, the main problem was the powerhead failure which occurred during the manufacturing process and was essentially out of their control. I appreciate all the positive comments and thoughtful dialog from those who took their time to read all the comments and updated info I posted.

I did have some cooling error codes pop up and I called Denver Marine and a new water pump was ordered as well as the temp sensors. I brought the boat in and it was replaced while I waited by Paul at Denver Marine who has been awesome to work with. When the water pump was removed it had a lot of sand in it which I believe had been sucked up there when I had to run the boat aground during the original failure of the powerhead since I was in the inlet. Once I got the motor restarted I was on a sandbar and I'm guessing that's when it sucked the sand into the impeller. Anyway that was fixed and I have not had any other cooling issues.

BRP has made an awesome motor. The power the G2 provides is incredible. I would buy a G2 again because in my opinion, it is the best outboard on the water today. The issues I had, I believe, were out of BRP and Denver Marines control and the way they stepped up to make it right solidified my loyalty as a consumer with them. I'm sure there will be someone that says that I was paid off by BRP or Denver Marine to say good things about the G2 but I have not received any compensation to make this follow up. It was the right thing to do because they did the right thing.
