If you know your MFX then jump to 3:08 for the walkthrough.
I stumbled across this feature by accident, but honestly—it should be on every guitar multi-effects pedal. It’s a total game-changer for nailing your tone on any Valeton MFX unit.
Here’s the magic: you can record a loop, then tweak your effects, amp settings, and cab models, for your selected patch, in real time against a reference tone and then save it! No more endless moving back and forth between your guitar and the MFX unit—your ears stay locked on the sound you’re chasing.
When you’ve got a huge library of effects, amps, and cabs to choose from, dialing in your tone can be frustrating. The truth is, you usually just need small adjustments—but losing that audible reference often makes you overdo it. This trick keeps you in the zone so you can make those perfect tweaks quickly.
Use YouTube’s "Loop" feature to set up a reference tone. I'll walk you through exactly how to do it if you’ve never tried it before.
