Rosy-faced lovebirds, there are several birds in this simple aviary. Some of these peach-faced lovebirds have been with us since 2020, and a few also since 2021 and 2022. We put several wooden nest boxes in the aviary with the intention of encouraging them to breed. This worked well for a time, although not all birds are suited to such a system. There are several lovebirds that can lay eggs and raise their chicks in this aviary, and there are also several other lovebirds that breed in special cages for breeding.
In the near future we plan to take all the nest boxes in this cage. After their time in the system, we hope it can give them a new kind of space and freshness. Maybe we'll put some equipment for them to play with, which we previously didn't give enough considering it would interfere with the breeding process. Let's see.
