The Century 21 Exposition – better known as the Seattle World’s Fair – celebrates its 60th birthday. The fair attracted nearly 10 million people during its six-month run. It even turned a profit. After the crowds left, the fairgrounds became Seattle Center. Several attractions became icons, including the Space Needle and the Monorail.
