My reason for playing Hogwarts Legacy:

The reason why I’m playing Hogwarts Legacy is because I have loved Harry Potter since I was seven years old, not because I support or agree with JK Rowling’s views. I feel like I have to separate the art from the artist, and that it would be hypocritical of me to take a stand with this game and not with others. If I boycott this game, I would have to research every game I play in the future to make sure there’s no one problematic involved.

I started this channel to escape reality and share my love of gaming with others. I never bring politics, religion or current events etc onto my channel. This is an active choice as I want everyone to feel welcome and like they can escape the world here. All I ever say is that I love and respect everyone, because that is who I am.

I’m sorry if my reasoning for playing the game has upset anyone. That was genuinely never my intent. I just never want to be a hypocrite. If I boycott this game, I need to boycott other games. If I pretend online that I’m not playing it, and still buy it and play it in secret, that’s being dishonest.

I respect everyone’s decision to boycott and I’m grateful to the people who are boycotting but are being respectful and choosing to stick around here for the other playthroughs. I think it’s possible to have different views on whether to boycott or not and still all be good people. Again, supporting this game does not mean I support JK Rowling.

Thank you again to everyone. I am so overwhelmed by the support. And to the people who disagree, please know that I respect you and hope to see you on Tomb Raider videos and other playthroughs ❤️
