Dispatch Reveals Kim JungHyun Rudely Refused Skinship Scenes With Seohyun In “The Time” for Seo YeJi

As previously reported, Staff 'A' from the set of 'Time' back in 2018 revealed new details regarding Kim Jung Hyun's abrupt leave from the cast. Although the story supported that "there were definite reasons" for his sudden leave, new reports from different staff members shed new light on the issue.

According to an exclusive report from Dispatch, they were able to obtain the original script for The Time and text messages between Kim Jung Hyun and Seo Ye Ji, revealing the 13 missing skinship scenes and the fact that Seo Ye Ji ordered Kim Jung Hyun to refuse the skinship scenes. Kim Jung Hyun and Seo Ye Ji previously worked together in the movie Stay with Me in early 2018.

The first occasion of the missing skinship occurred during episode 5 at 48:45. Sooho (Kim Jung Hyun’s character) claimed he wanted to die, and Jihyun (Seohyun’s character) runs towards him, trying to stop him from jumping. While Seohyun grabs onto Kim Jung Hyun as they are both falling down, they are lying separately when they hit the ground. The director didn’t look much into it, thinking that it just happened due to the two falling.
On April 12th, media outlet Dispatch revealed a set of text messages between Seo Ye Ji, who was then Kim Jung Hyun's girlfriend, and Kim Jung Hyun. Dispatch says Seo Ye Ji was a mastermind behind his disrespectful actions and criticized Kim Jung Hyun for being unprofessional because of his private love life.

However, the original script for The Time shows that Seohyun and Kim Jung Hyun were supposed to be hugging each other on the floor. This scene never happened, and it was because Kim Jung Hyun didn’t want to film a melodrama. Instead, he was faithful to his real-life melodrama with Seo Ye Ji.

Ever since the synopsis of the drama was revealed, it was known that the drama was a melodrama. The drama clearly stated it was going to show how a man spends his last bit of time alive trying to give everything he can to a woman he previously hurt, and her feelings towards him slowly grow more and more.

The second instance where Kim Jung Hyun refused a skinship scene is once again in episode 5, at 54:38 during the band-aid scene. As Seohyun gives Kim Jung Hyun a band-aid, he tries to deny her heart.
