Not the fanciest video, but I wanted to track my progress while creating this 3D plane cake for a 40th birthday party for a family member. There are definitely some things I would do differently to make the cake and structure better next time, but overall I'm proud of how this came out. I've never made such an ambitious 3D carved cake before.
Not all parts of making this cake were recorded, mostly because my camera automatically shuts off after 20ish minutes. I'm missing footage of covering the cake in fondant, making the gelatin for the windshield, cutting out the cockpit, assembling the hollow ammo boxes, making the windshield, and finishing touches. Also missing parts like gluing the dowels to the board, because that was done outside.
