Nitinol Amazing Shape Memory Alloy

Описание: In this video I talk about an amazing type of metal called a shape memory alloy. The specific one in this video is called nitinol. It is an alloy of nickel and titanium. It forms an amazing structure that "remembers" its shape even after deformation when you heat it up slightly. If you want it to have a new shape you simply have to heat it until it is red hot and it will form that new shape that it was in when it was red hot. In this video I see if extreme pressure from a hydraulic press can make it form a new shape. I was amazed at the results!
