🇵🇸 With an hour before we were due on air came breaking news that Hamas had announced it had accepted an Egyptian-Qatari ceasefire agreement that could end seven months of war in Gaza.
🚨From 1830 GMT to 2130 GMT from London I steered our coverage and analysis on @trtworld on a night of great contrast - from euphoria in Rafah when Palestinians took to the streets to celebrate to dejection as Israeli leaders rejected the proposal and approved a military operation into the Gaza Strip city of Rafah, striking targets in the area.
