Winterton Road, DN15 0BJ
which is currently seeking to extend its operations to 2037 and restoration to 2042 due to slower-than-expected infilling.
The site, a former ironstone quarry
processes waste via rail.

Operations & Timeline: While originally scheduled to cease operations by May 2026, the site is requesting an 11-year extension to continue landfilling until May 10, 2037. Final restoration is planned for 2042.
Capacity: The site has roughly 2 million cubic metres of remaining capacity.
Waste Input: Annual waste intake dropped from 1 million tonnes at its peak to approximately 200,000–250,000 tonnes recently.
