About the Speakers:

Dr. Lawrence Harris
Marshall School of Business (University of Southern California)
Fred V. Keenan Chair in Finance
Professor of Finance and Business Economics Lead
Board of Directors: Interactive Brokers, Inc. and the Clipper Fund, Inc.

Previously, Dr. Harris served as Chief Economist of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). He contributed extensively to the development of regulations implementing Sarbanes-Oxley, and the resolution of the mutual fund timing crisis. His book, Trading and Exchanges: Market Microstructure for Practitioners, is a seminal book on securities markets and microstructure. He is the former Associate Editor of the Journal of Finance, the Review of Financial Studies, and the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis.
