Rum Cake Recipe REDEMPTION (with my MOM!)

We're giving the Rum Cake "family recipe" another shot and I've brought Mama Snaps in for back-up! We discuss the optimal butter form, my mom's worst dish, musicals, and more! Enjoy!!

Recipe:
Mix together:
3 Cups Flour
1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda

In a separate bowl cream together:
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Butter

Then add 1 Cup Buttermilk and 4 eggs (blended in one at a time)
Then add 1 Teaspoon vanilla

Combine dry and wet ingredients. Place in pan - bake at 325 degrees for 55 minutes.

Glaze
1/2 Cup Butter
1/4 Cup Water
Cook on medium heat until mixed well. Add 1 Cup Sugar and 2 Tablespoons Rum flavoring.
Once cake is baked, poles hole in cake and pour glaze over. Let it get absorbed and cool down and then flip and take cake out of pan. Good to go!
