This is my trusty indoor Angelito tree. It gave me ~180 figs. The outdoor Angelito grew (probably) twice as large (it's a monster), but it only gave me about 50 figs, and less than half ripened in time. This tree has been indoors since March 2024 and was a cutting a few months before that. It hasnt had any chill days. Stopped growing from spider mites in Oct, but it started growing at the start of March. I think it's root bound pretty badly. Need to do that ASAP.
But this indoor tree continues to deliver very high quality figs. The less ripe one was close to perfect. That is the incredible Angelito flavor I have come to learn and love. It's so delicate with an incredible strawberry / mixed berry candy flavor. I can eat a ton of those. But the more ripe one caught me by surprise. Every now and then I get a wildly different one from this tree. I dont know if it's because I let it get too ripe; I do not think it is entirely because it's too ripe. It introduces something much stronger. So strong it threw me off for a sec. I really wish I pulled that one a day earlier. I am super excited to see how this tree will mature over the next couple of years. Assuming I can up pot it soon and keep it going without chill days ever.
