Britain’s senior sailor First Sea Lord Admiral Tony Radakin announced the names of the Type 31 frigates, which will now be known as the Inspiration class.
Approved by Her Majesty The Queen, HMS Active, HMS Bulldog, HMS Campbeltown, HMS Formidable and HMS Venturer draw their names from warships and submarines whose deeds and missions are intended to reflect and inspire current and future Royal Navy operations.
