Dempsey Road, also known as Dempsey Hill or Tanglin Village, is located across from the Singapore Botanic Gardens, near the Embassy of the United States.

It was originally the site of a nutmeg plantation that later became Tanglin Barracks for British troops.

Dempsey Hill, is now a thriving shopping hub buzzing with activity.

The place itself is filled with a wide variety of shops - restaurants, art and design shops as well as a private cellar where we can enjoy fine wines.

These shops are just a taste of what Dempsey Hill offers currently.

Behind this flourising shopping hub lies a history some of us remember.

This place was formerly known as the British army Barracks as well as the CMPB National Service enlistment centre.

Some old buildings are still being conserved at Dempsey Hill too.

The bountiful and lush greenery of Dempsey Hill is a perfect place for relaxation after an arduous day of work and schooling.

Dempsey Hill is an attractive tourist destination to many people who come to Singapore.
