Watch a Drone Clean the Legendary Concorde at

Описание: Last year, KTV Working Drone Germany carried out a unique cleaning project at the Technical Museum Sinsheim. For the first time, the legendary and supersonic Air France Concorde was cleaned using drone technology.

Cleaning aircraft and large-scale exhibits installed at height typically involves significant HSE challenges and extensive planning related to access, safety measures, and work at height. Drone cleaning reduces the need for traditional access solutions and enables safer and more efficient workflows.
The Concorde’s complex geometry added an additional technical challenge. Despite this, the cleaning results were very good, even without the use of mechanical surface treatment. Feedback from the museum was highly positive.

Michael Stiller, Technical Director at Technik Museum Sinsheim: “We were very surprised by the cleaning results, as the drone does not involve any mechanical treatment of the surface. We were amazed at how good the results actually were. I think working with drones will become much, much more common in the future. I think we are only at the starting point, and that we will see major developments over the coming years, simply because it’s faster, less effort, and above all, safer.”
