I was invited to a pre-launch test dinner by the gracious owners of Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse, to try out their Halal menu. This is the first Halal Brazilian Steakhouse in the Bay Area that I know of, and they have soooo many Halal offerings from the classic picanha to my favorite, the filet mignon.
Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse is in San Ramon at 2410 San Ramon Valley Blvd Suite 130, San Ramon, CA 94583.

Fiqh Note: For anyone concerned about a restaurant that serves Halal but also has a bar, rest assured: the Muslim owner is a partial owner and takes no profits from the bar, any mocktails he makes are using water cups not alcohol cups, and I have checked with my Maulana that it's allowed to eat there as long as no alcohol is on my table (per Ayatollah Sistani).
