SMF at Noon30 : Caterina Lichtenberg & Mike Marshall

Описание: In addition to serving as SMF Associate Artistic Director, Mike Marshall is one of the world’s most accomplished mandolinists. A master of mandolin, guitar, mandocello and violin, Marshall creates adventurous and engaging instrumental music, which seamlessly blends his American roots background with a deep understanding of Brazilian, European classical and folk styles, complemented by shades of jazz and pop music. Mike is joined by his wife, Caterina Lichtenberg, one of the premier classical mandolinists in the world today. Together, they have recorded three albums, one of which includes all of Johann Sebastian Bach’s duets for mandolin and mandocello, on the Adventure Music label. In 2017, the couple launched an international educational workshop called the Mandolin World Retreats. Marshall and Lichtenberg recorded their SMF at Noon30 session featuring a piece by Beethoven with mandolin and mandocello, "Shalom Aleichem" and "Penso a Te" at their home studio in Oakland, California.
