Описание: O Grupo Coral Ossónoba é uma associação Cultural sem fins lucrativos, com personalidade jurídica, fundada a 24 de junho de 1980 por um grupo de entusiastas da Música Coral, comemorando assim hoje os seus 40 anos de atividade em prol da cidade capital do Algarve, de Faro e da região algarvia. Hoje, em condições normais, comemorariam o seu aniversário com os dias do solstício.

Simultaneamente, foi criada a Associação Coral Ossónoba que teve a sua estreia nas "Festas da cidade" em Junho de 1980.

Foi distinguido em 2002 pela Câmara Municipal de Faro com a Medalha de Mérito - Grau Ouro e declarado pelo Governo Português como Pessoa Coletiva de Utilidade Pública.

Como principais iniciativas do grupo destacam-se o "Concerto da Primavera", o "Encontro de Coros Ibéricos", o "Algarve - Festival Internacional de Coros" e o "Concerto de Natal" (este, a associação faz questão de oferecer todos os anos ao município e aos habitantes de Faro).

Têm sido seus principais patrocinadores a Câmara Municipal de Faro, o Ministério da Cultura, o Inatel - Delegação de Faro, o Montepio Geral, a ANA - Aeroportos de Portugal, S. A., o Governo Civil de Faro e a Junta de Freguesia da Sé de Faro.

Esta associação tem presentemente 3 coros: Pequenos Cantores d'Ossónoba, o Ossónoba - Coro Juvenil e o Coral Ossónoba.

Estes três grupos corais têm cerca de 127 pessoas a cantar e a sua atividade estende-se por todo o país e também no estrangeiro.

Grupo Coral Ossónoba is a non-profit cultural association, with legal personality, founded on June 24, 1980, by a group of choral music enthusiasts, thus celebrating today its 40 years of activity in favour of the capital city of the Algarve, from Faro and the Algarve region. Today, under normal conditions, they would celebrate their birthday with the days of the solstice.

At the same time, the Associação Coral Ossónoba was created, having its debut at the "Festas da Cidade" in June 1980.

He was distinguished in 2002 by the Municipality of Faro with the Medal of Merit - Gold Degree and declared by the Portuguese Government as a Collective Person of Public Utility.

The main initiatives of the group include the "Spring Concert", the "Iberian Choir Meeting", the "Algarve - International Choir Festival" and the "Christmas Concert" (this, the association insists on offering all years to the municipality and inhabitants of Faro).

Its main sponsors have been the Municipality of Faro, the Ministry of Culture, Inatel - Delegation of Faro, Montepio Geral, ANA - Aeroportos de Portugal, SA, the Civil Government of Faro and the Parish Council of the Cathedral of Faro.

This association currently has 3 choirs: Pequenos Cantores d'Ossónoba, Ossónoba - Youth Choir and Coral Ossónoba. These three choral groups have around 127 people singing and their activity extends across the country and also abroad.
