Описание: In English, possessives show that something belongs to someone or something. They answer the question: “Whose is it?”

There are two main types:

1️⃣ Possessive Nouns

We usually add ’s or just ’ to a noun.

✅ Singular noun → add ’s

The girl’s book (The book belongs to the girl.)

The teacher’s desk

✅ Plural noun ending in s → add only ’

The students’ classroom

The dogs’ toys

✅ Plural noun NOT ending in s → add ’s

The children’s playground

The men’s room

2️⃣ Possessive Pronouns

These replace nouns and show ownership.

Examples:

This is my phone.

That book is mine.

Their house is big.

The house is theirs.

⚠️ Important:

Its = possessive (The dog wagged its tail.)

الملكية تُستخدم لِتوضيح أن شيئًا ما يَخصُّ شخصًا أو شيئًا معيّنًا.
هي تجيب عن السؤال: لِمَن هذا الشيء؟

1️⃣ الأسماء المضافة للملكية (Possessive Nouns)

نضيف عادةً ’s أو فقط ’ إلى الاسم.

✅ الاسم المفرد → نضيف ’s

girl’s book = كتابُ الفتاة

teacher’s desk = مكتبُ المعلّم

✅ الاسم الجمع الذي ينتهي بـ s → نضيف فقط ’

students’ classroom = فصلُ الطلاب

dogs’ toys = ألعابُ الكلاب

✅ الاسم الجمع الذي لا ينتهي بـ s → نضيف ’s

children’s playground = ملعبُ الأطفال

men’s room = غرفةُ الرجال
