Video Game Arcade Tours - Electric Avenue (Southend-on-Sea, UK) 🇬🇧

Описание: Two big family names seem to control the amusement sector in Southend-on-Sea: The Ketteleys and the Millers! This is a Ketteley property.
The Ketteleys own pretty much the entire arcade seafront (With two minor exceptions), so if you visit: Las Vegas Amusements, New York New York, Monte Carlo Amusements, Electric Avenue and Circus Circus Amusements, you'll notice they are all owned by the same people with the same machines, the same prizes and the same.... Security!
You cannot film or take pictures in ANY of their arcades (as I found out later).
So if you're on a family holiday and you want a picture of your kid playing a 2p machine or a Jurassic Park shmp, forget it! haha!

Wait, what? ... Security? Yes you heard it correct! They have about 8-10 bouncers with nasty attitudes, all concregating outisde like a bad nappy rash.
If they see you taking a picture, they won't hesitate to put their doughnuts in their pocket, and waddle on in to remove you like a pissed off London Nightclub Doorman at 3am.

I also saw a few instances of workers moving coin pusher prizes backwards after people were finished playing, and also resetting the plushes in the crane games. It's not illegal by any means, but there are plenty of places that don't do this. This chain of arcades left a nasty taste in my mouth and I won't be back.

My advice: goto another city, or if you're hell bent on visiting Southend-on-Sea, then maybe stay at Funtopia.

Don't take my word for it, read the Google reviews for Monte Carlo Amusements and Las Vegas Amusements haha!

Anyway rant over, back in 2013 they had a really good dance game setup here with Dancing Stage wall art and 2 machines, now, sadly it's a barely working Euromix 1. Sad times!
