Shindaiwa T242 Weed Whacker

Описание: Mongo working on a Shindaiwa T242. It made in Japan, Mongo not sure proper way to say this name.
Got some sort of junk in the gas tank, fuel filter rolling around in the fuel tank and look like the primer bulb all wet.

00:29 Fuel tank removal
Fuel tank bracket has 4 bolts (4mm allen head screws). Exhaust plastic cover needs to be removed first (3mm allen head screw). Second is the main engine plastic cover (remove spark plug boot, remove front 3mm allen head and 2 top 3mm allen heads screws from the pull starter). Then can remove the lower 2 bolts on the pull starter (3mm allen). lastly disconnect the 2 fuel lines at the carb. Then the fuel tank should come out with a little wiggle.

02:28 Clean fuel tank
Mongo using brake clean to clean the outside of the tank. Then spray some on the inside of the tank just to get some of the loose debris out. Fill the tank with degreaser, put the cap back on, shake it up and let it sit till it clean.

03:34 Replace primer bulb
This one got 4 screws holding the clamp in place, once removed can see some junk inside and it torn. Size the old bulb up with a new bulb. reinstall.

04:38 Finish cleaning tank
Dump out the degreaser, spray some brake clean into the tank to make sure to get all the degreaser out.

05:02 Replace fuel lines
Since this tank have a rubber/plastic petcock thing, push the whole thing inside and pull it out the fuel tank. Easier to replace the lines this way. Be sure to size up the new lines correctly. Push the new line through, can use the old line to get a close estimate of how much line is needed, cut off remainder.
