🌟 Today's grammar lesson is about this common structure 又...又 (ㄧㄡˋ... ㄧㄡˋ yòu...yòu) "Both...and" . Which is considered one of the most essential, “basic” patterns in Chinese grammar. It’s included in pretty much every Chinese textbook and TOCFL Band A exam. The pattern is (subject) + 又 adjective 1 + 又 adjective 2.
The thing is, students tend to overuse this pattern in speaking. Please note that when you use this structure, the tone can come out strong. You sound very firm with your opinion. That’s why it's commonly used when native speakers want to give a strong opinion and even persuade somebody to do something.
