Ceramic/Zirconia crown is a considerable challenge for the orthodontist due to continuous bonding failure so the patient should come again and again to the clinic which causes uncomfortable atmosphere between the doctor and the patient.
When possible I advice to use the band directly instead of bondable tube, but what if the crown or the restoration is in the anterior teeth? then we have to use special technique to create physical & chemical adhesion
Use the bur gently to make the crown surface rough
Use normal Phosphoric Acid 37 % etching gel for 40 sec
Apply good quality self etching bond and light
Place the bracket on the crown with enough bracket composite
Apply flowable composite on the edges
