Night Quest: How to Play

Night Quest is a 3 - 8 player game and all you need to get started is a table, plenty of Ale, and of course, an EPIC pack of Night Quest cards.


The deck features 5 types of cards …


First we have the Champion Cards: The card you choose determines the Champion you will become in the game. This could be either a heroic champion or a cursed champion. Each champion has a unique ability called a “Spirit Power” which can be used to cause absolute mayhem. These cards stay with you throughout the game. Once your spirit power has been used, you must reveal your card to the rest of the group.


Next we have the Foe cards. These are the 12 hellish monsters that you must battle to defeat. The player who slays the most Foe’s by the end of the game wins.


Ah the Quest cards. Drawing one of these cards gives you the opportunity to show off your epic skills against the rest of the group. Think of each quest card like a mini game, that will most likely end in you embarrassing yourself.


Then we have Curse Cards. If you pick up a curse card you will receive a dreadful fate. So be sure to watch out for those.


Lastly we have the Enchantment cards. Drawing an enchantment card gives you a special ability or power to get one over on somebody else.


Each card has a star rating along with a difficulty level, which in most cases, lets you know how much you should drink If required.


This could be a Sip, Swig, Gulp, or the dreaded Guzzle.


So now you know all about the cards, let's learn how to play.


Firstly Split the champion cards from the rest of the deck, shuffle them and place them face down. (No Peeking)


Each player selects a champion card from the face down cards to determine the character they will become.


Discard any of the remaining champion cards.


Shuffle all the other cards and place them face down in the middle of the group.


You will then take it in turns to draw one card from the top of the deck and perform the instruction.


Once you have used a card, throw it in a discard pile.


If you manage to win the challenge against a Foe card be sure to keep it as the player who collects the most foe cards in the game wins, saves the world, is the winner of all winners, the top geezer, the dogs bollocks, and is crowned the almighty “Brewmaster”. You got all that?
