Ingredients:
1 tablespoon Shea Butter
1 tablespoon Beeswax Pastilles
1 tablespoon Jojoba Oil
1 tablespoon Castor Oil
25-30 drops of Spearmint or Peppermint Essential Oil
1 teaspoon of Pink or Red Edible Glitter (find it in the bakery section of your grocery store)

1. Using a double boiler, melt the beeswax, shea butter and coconut oil.
2. Take them off the heat, then slowly pour in the jojoba and castor oils, stirring well.
3. Add the essential oils and glitter, and while stirring, pour your preparation into small lip balm containers.
4. Pour them soon after melting the ingredients since beeswax will start to solidify fairly quickly.
5. Leave the containers uncovered for about 2 hours, then place a lid on them, they are ready to use!

Today we'll be making sparkling lip balm. It's a very creamy lip balm that fits better in tins as opposed to tubes.

It is very soft. It uses a lot of hydrating and great ingredients, and it adds a little sparkle at the end.

The ingredients we are going to use for the sparkling lip balms are Beeswax, we'll be using pastilles. They're very easy to dose and beeswax is an essential ingredient when you make balms and so it gives it the hard consistency.

Then, of course, we have unrefined Shea Butter. It is rich in vitamins and anti-oxidants. And then we are going to add some Jojoba Oil which is an oil that really approximates the structure of your skin.

And last, but not least, Castor Oil. It is a great moisturizer, it is shiny and soft and really an essential ingredient in DIY lip balms.

And then, as an option, we're going to add some scent and some color and sparkles, just for those who like it, but that's just an option.

To make this recipe, it's very simple, we're going to use 1 tablespoon of all ingredients. So it will be one tablespoon of beeswax, one of shea butter, a tablespoon of jojoba oil and a tablespoon of castor oil, that we'll be melting very slowly until they're all mixed up.

Now we have all the ingredients in this little jar, and we're going over to a double boiler to melt them.

So I've let this cool for about five minutes because we're going to be adding essential oils and you don't want to add them when the liquid is too hot.

And then I'll be adding 20-25 drops of spearmint essential oil, that's very nice to feel on your lips but it's your choice what you want to use. And I'll be adding a teaspoon of edible mica or glitter.

Now I've added the essential oils and the edible glitter and now I just have to stir it up until it's all mixed in well.
