Ayahuasca (or Yagé) is a psychedelic brew that has been used in a shamanic context by indigenous Amazonian communities for thousands of years.
Often called the Vine of Souls, or the Vine of the Dead, it is traditionally understood as a way to communicate with the greater intelligence of the plant and animal kingdom, the spirit world and the world of the ancestors.
I feel the altered states of consciousness brought about by this sacred medicine has some crossover with folklore, Mythology and storytelling.
