Take some piano lessons from Scott Houston “The Piano Guy.” In this video, Scott and his guest, Matt Munhall demonstrate how to play the Fats Domino “Blueberry Hill” on piano in both solo and accompaniment style.

Munhall teaches you how to play “Blueberry Hill” in the key of C. He focuses on the intro to the song first.

Next he demonstrates the baseline, left hand part. The chords used are C, F and G7 which are the same basic chords used in all blues tunes. The great news is that the jumps from chord to chord in this song are not that big which makes it easier to play.

Then, David demonstrates the right hand part using triplets or a 12/8 feel.

Houston and Munhall share a tip to use if you are struggling with hand independence when playing with both hands together.
